Character Interview - Casey Tresor / Galenflyn Reglay Charming

Get to know the star of the show

This is the first character interview in the newsletter, and I should start this off with Casey Tresor.

Born under the name Galenflyn Reglay Charming, Casey is the main character--the big honcho, the great kahuna--the titular hero of this 6-part book series. 

On a critical mission to reunite with his family and fulfill an ancient prophecy, the series chronicles his experiences told from two distinct points of view. What do I mean by that? First, in terms of narration style, the book is split between third-person and first-person points of view. So if you have read any Harry Potter books and Percy Jackson books, the narration style of Galenflyn's and Casey's adventures would be respectively similar.

The following examples are snippets from upcoming chapters to make sense of it all. The examples are also minor spoilers:

Christian: Hello Casey! Thank you for taking the time to speak with me.

Casey: Hey Christian! It's no problem. And we always have time to chat anyway.

Christian: (laughs) No argument there. So why not tell our audience about you, what you've been up to, and all? Like, who are you? Who is Casey Tresor?

Casey: Hm, who am I? (laughs) well, that's the most confusing question in my life, if I have to be honest. And you didn't really help my cause here.

Christian: (Laughs) Hey, I'm just the author. You say it; I document it.

Casey: Ah, okay (laughs), so that's how it is, huh? Okay, well, let's start with my name: Casey Tresor. I'm a YouTuber. My channel is the same as my social media handle across all platforms—GlendorBoy. And I cover video games.

Christian: Okay, great start. I've checked out your channel, by the way. Great content.

Casey: Hey, thanks, man! I appreciate it.

Christian: But I didn't like that review you gave Fire Emblem Three Houses. Seriously? A B?

Casey: It's not the best Fire Emblem game.

Christian: Ohh…

Casey: I know, I know, I'm gonna get a lot of flack from the FE community, but every chapter in that game feels repetitive.

Christian: Every chap—! Oh, okay (breathes)

Casey: (laughs)

Christian: Gonna pretend you didn't say that. As you vaguely pointed out earlier, Casey and GlendorBoy aren't your only aliases.

Casey: Right. Galenflyn Reglay Charming is my real name. I was allegedly born with it in the Kingdom of Summer Everglade, located in Fablemyth, the Fairy Tale Realms.

Christian: The Fairy Tale Realms? What is that?

Casey: It's another world altogether.
